Client Assessments and Engagements

Leveraging appropriate surveys and diagnostic tools, we help identify and implement solutions to improve individual, team, and organizational performance. Research shows that better organizational climates – which is different from culture and easier than culture to change – increase motivation and boost performance by as much as 30%.

Program and Process Improvement Engagements

Conducting quantitative and qualitative organizational studies and reviews, we help assess performance, identify barriers to optimal performance, develop customer-specific recommendations based on the unique organizational culture and relevant benchmarks, and support implementation with appropriate change management strategies.

Executive and Leadership Development

Leveraging the experience and perspectives of our former federal senior managers and executives, we offer engaging and experience-based training and development programs that support leaders in addressing their most pressing challenges. Services include leadership assessments (e.g. 360, Leadership Style Inventory, Birkman, Strengths Finder), customized training solutions, and individual and team coaching.

Meeting Facilitation and Team Building Engagements

Using a high-performing teams framework, we design offsite and team building agendas that foster trust, commitment, authenticity, and results orientation. Our sessions combine relationship building, skills development, and action planning for the next 90 days after the meeting (the “So What”).

Temporary Staffing

About the President and Founder

Patrina M. Clark is president and founder of Pivotal and a trusted advisor to senior leaders on a broad range of human performance issues. She has broad and deep expertise in human resource development and talent leadership strategies.

Before launching Pivotal, Patrina performed with distinction for 25 years in five federal agencies – U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), Federal Election Commission (FEC), Department of Navy, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Patrina’s last federal position was Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) for GAO. A career member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), Patrina received numerous awards and commendations during her government career, including the Navy’s Meritorious Civilian Service Medal and a Hammer Award from the Partnership for Reinventing Government.

Since moving to the private sector, Patrina received the SmartCEO Brava Award, Enterprising Women of the Year Award, and Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
